This week for Whoa Mama! Wednesday, we are excited to share the talents of Jennifer Blair from Urban Fusions. Not only do we support our clients through pregnancy and birth but we also want to share their amazing talents and beautiful creations with the world as well as encourage folks to support Made by Hand by Moms in Canada!
Jennifer's business is based in Vancouver and specializes in hand crafted glass jewellery and accessories for men, women and children.
A born creator, Jennifer is a self-taught artist that admits her glass work has evolved organically through trial and error and hours of creative exploration with the medium. When she first started experimenting with glass in 2007, her designs were straight-forward, linear and often symmetrical. After uprooting her business in Vancouver in 2010, her designs have taken a more laid back, organic direction inspired mostly by the simple West Coast lifestyle. The West Coast is the best coast!!
This week on Whoa Mama! Wednesdays, I'd like you to meet Michelle Robindell of Moms Get Real.
I met Michelle a few years back when she hired me as her birth doula for her second babe. Michelle's style of parenting was an inspiration to me and it's no surprise that she's gone on to pursue her passion in inspiring other moms.
Moms Get Real is a positive community of moms (new moms, seasoned moms, working moms, stay-at-home moms) coming together to inspire each other and grow as they share thoughts, ideas, resources and possibilities and move towards living their best possible lives.
Michelle's coaching is rooted in four values: authenticity, gratitude, happiness and vulnerability. She is constantly inspired by her clients as she works with them to get clear about goals, take risks and think positively. She especially loves helping her clients celebrate the accomplishment of their goals.
We can all use a hand when it comes to living a more fulfilling life. Review one of the many workshops Michelle has to offer and make today "the first day of the rest of your life".
As our a continuation of our newly launched Whoa Mama! Wednesday series, I'd like to introduce you to another incredibly talented client of mine. Meet Mandy Greyling of Sugar + Candy Designs.
Sugar + Candy Designs was technically born many years ago, out of a love for bags and a strong desire to always be creating. What it has turned into is a business that is changing and growing, and allowing this mama to stay at home with her family!
Every Sugar + Candy bag is handmade by Mandy - from sketch to template to prototype to production. When you buy a Sugar + Candy bag, you can be confident in its uniqueness, its durability, and of course, its style (you picked it, so it MUST be stylish!).
Let's support our local mompreneurs! Isn't it time for a new bag?
On top of being amazing moms, many of my baby mama's are also mompreneurs.....and very talented one's at that! These women have created the lifestyle they've wanted, managing a business at their own pace all the while raising their little ones at home.
These are hard workin' ladies that create and provide great products and services within our community and they deserve to be recognized and supported!
So let's get started! Cocoon Babywears first line focused on baby capes, featuring sumptuous end of the line designer fabric fro leading fashion houses in England and Italy
