Wow...what a week it's been!
As if serving new families and witnessing the miracle of birth isn't rewarding enough. This week my clients have been showering me with love, affection and gifts. I guess it's suiting as we're just past Valentines Day. Perhaps love is still in the air.
I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again. I have the most AMAZING clients and this week this doula is feelin' the love.
In the past week I was invited to celebrate the 3rd birthday of my little man Landon. We opened presents, had dinner and had the most delicious cake with butter cream icing (my favourite!). What a joy to celebrate with this family! I was fed pan fried halibut and homemade potato salad for lunch with a new family that I'm doing postpartum doula work with. I received a beautiful and fragrant bouquet at a postpartum follow up. One of my new mama's donated her collection of some of my favourite birth books to my lending library - so thoughtful. And today I received some kind words from a family I was hired to be their birth doula.
Thank you so much for being there for us during the biggest moment of our life the birth of our baby girl Anaya! The emotional and physical support you provided during the labour was instrumental in making the experience positive and helpful during a time when we really needed a professional by our side. Much love and many thanks! xoxo
There's an old saying that I love that especially rings true this week....
It's about love, it's about compassion, it's about kindness and faith. It has nothing to do with luck. You get what you give. So give good.
