Harry and Janelle are the kind of people who are just pure kind, liquid sunshine. Within minutes of meeting Janelle, I knew I wanted to be present for her birth, and then meeting Harry knowing these guys were a power couple unlike any other.
After getting the go - call, I did the speedy 5 minute drive to theirs, and as the sun rose I arrived arms full of supplies, fielding questions from building folks wondering what all the home birth gear was... No hesitation to call the midwives shortly after was had!
Quickly and with strength, the golden 10 cm was achieved with Jessie arriving quickly to share the good news. Hurrying to fill the pool, music played through the house and the second part of your journey began.
Slow pushing, transitioning to mighty roars. Moving into the bedroom, with grandma tending to plants, and auntie documenting every inch of labouring that was had. The plan was not to have such a crowd, but labour had others ideas and it was now a family-led home birth.
