What brought me to working with families: My passion for providing placenta encapsulation services blossomed when I had my placenta encapsulated after the birth of my second child. With two children under 2, I wanted to be sure I had as much support for my mind and body as possible. This lead me to research the benefits of consuming my placenta. I experienced a generous milk supply, great energy, restful sleep and faster healing time than after my first birth. My personal experience was so powerful that I decided to train and certify to offer the option to all families I have the opportunity to work with.
Tagline: "We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." -- Maya Angelou
My specialty: I am passionate in supporting families who have experienced the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) after the unexpected birth of my own daughter at 29 weeks gestation. I created the Vancouver Parents of Preemies online community to encourage education, advocacy, and most importantly, hope to families touched by prematurity.
