What brought me to Doula work: I have always been fascinated by pregnancy ever since I was about 5 years old. My grandmother was a midwife and when she retired, she continued to care for mothers and children in my family and amongst our family friends, essentially taking on the role of a doula. Over the years my fascination with pregnancy and birth has grown and I am taking this next step to see how it translates to paper. Doula work is a great introduction as I contemplate pursuing a career in midwifery.
Tagline: Greater love has none, than laying down one’s life, consisting of words, thoughts, feelings, assumptions, judgement. I am willing to lay down my “life” and listen. My specialty: I have been told that I am a calm presence to be around.
